EMERGENCY SERVICES TRAINING  

We offer a variety of law enforcement specialist training and services. These topics include active shooter, workplace violence, de-escalation, crisis management and security assessments. 

 

Active Shooter Training

This comprehensive service includes an overview of training, along with exercises to prepare on-site safety team managers for response during an actual emergency. These on-site drills are vital in successfully implementing a company emergency plan. With this, we provide:

  • Security assessment of facilities

  • On-site "Active Shooter — Violent Event" response training

  • Emergency Plan Safe Zone mapping

  • De-escalation training

The objectives are to provide trainees with the ability to recognize, understand, and appropriately react to hostile situations. This education is imperative to handling these real-life situations.

Managing a Crisis (or Disruptive Event)

There are a variety of threats to your safety, as well as those in your immediate area. As such, we offer a variety of crisis management services:

Group interaction to assess and react to various situations

  • Choices you make (Escalate and De-Escalate)

  • Crisis thinking vs. Non-Crisis thinking

  • Stages of Escalation

  • Aggression Triggers

  • Signs of Agitation (Physical and Verbal)

  • Aspects of Communication

  • Recognizing Comfort Zones

  • De-Escalation Techniques - Group interaction

  • Case studies - Interactive Methodology (Video and Audio group study)

  • Practical Real-Life Scenarios (Interactive group breakout sessions)

Workplace Violence Specialist Services

The service topics include:

  • Identifying potential for workplace violence

  • Analysis of the reduction of workplace violence hazards

  • Discussing employer responsibilities and worker rights

  • Persons at risk, and how employees can protect themselves from workplace violence

  • What employers should do following an incident of workplace violence

  • Notification and recognizing prohibited conduct (misconduct)

  • Active shooter response

  • Crisis Management Supervisor Training (Allow for 2+ hours of additional training)

Private Management — P.O.S.T. Officer De-Escalation Training

This includes detailed preparation, with on-site group participatory session relating to de-escalation educational training​. The de-escalation technique program utilizes interactive techniques, a basis on real-life situations, and the understanding of verbally de-escalating a situation — all after identifying a potentially hostile situation. 

Public Safety Officers Training (For Universities)

  • Public safety (as related to guards & officers) — De-escalation training at 1 hour per session

  • Defensive Driving (on-campus setting)​​​​

    • S.A.F.R. Defensive Driving course for roving patrols

Security Assessment

This assessment covers the existing potential for a security breach. It is an on-site presentation for the Management team, dedicated to security precaution techniques.

  • Preparation for on-site management group participatory training session relating to security precaution techniques related to property securement. 

Training objectives include:

  • Security observations

  • Understanding property awareness

  • Understanding the basics of identifying a potential security breach

  • Hands-on presentation based on law enforcement situations and case studies
